Karen is a noted author and frequent speaker on leadership and creating business success. Her published works include Coaching Culture, Hidden Profits, co-authored with Andrea T. Goeglein, Ph.D. and Shifting Gears through Process Change, co-authored with Robert Lazer, Ph.D and published by The Higher Education Workplace. She earned a B.S. in Business Management at SUNY and completed graduate coursework in Organizational Psychology at Columbia University. Karen is qualified by the Association of Psychological Type to administer the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator® and is trained to teach the DiSC behavioral profile.
Most recently, Karen served as Senior Vice President, Chief Human Resources and Communications Officer with FOJP Service Corporation and Hospitals Insurance Company and previously Vice President, Human Resources at Pace University. She is known for her ability to lead complex organizational change, her accomplishments in HR strategy and transformation, talent acquisition and executive development. Karen now works with clients as an interim HR executive and C-suite advisor.
Karen enjoys volunteering as a mentor to HR graduate students, a wish granter and speaker for Make-a-Wish® Metro New York and Western New York, and an advisory board member to the Community YMCA of Central and Northern Westchester. Karen Robilotta began her HR career at W.R. Grace & Co. as the junior member of a small, progressive HR team. She had the good fortune of learning from the best at MONY, A&A and GE Capital where she held leadership roles in all major HR specialties. As an HR executive, Karen developed a sound business acumen and love for the people side of business. While building an award-winning boutique consulting firm, Karen honed her skills in entrepreneurship, building high performance teams, and strategy development. In addition to her corporate experience, Karen's clients include prestigious not-for-profit, cultural and public sector institutions.
